Soprano Julianne M Perkins is known for her warm color and versatility throughout her wide and stratospheric range. Ms. Perkins was recently seen as a chorus member for Opera Colorado's production of Pagliacci. The summer of 2020, she was chosen as a participant for both the Collaborative Piano Institute Vocal Academy and the Dandelion Opera Institute. She was also an Apprentice Artist for Milwaukee Opera Theatre (2012-2013). Past role credits include Young Edie Beale in Grey Gardens, Nina in Dear World, Varina in the semi-staged production of American Spring (Sam Mullooly), Eliza in The Zoo, Young Heidi in Sondheim’s Follies, Jack’s Mother in Jack and the Beanstalk (Davies), Edith in The Pirates of Penzance, and the Sandman and Dew Fairy in Hänsel Und Gretel. Special credits include performing duties as Music Director, Music Coordinator, Co-Music Arranger, and performer in the original multi-disciplined Fruition of a Delusion, a play focused on renewable energy, performed in a 3D lab. 


Most recently, Ms. Perkins has been studying the roles of Gilda (Rigoletto)  and Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor).  Upcoming roles for Spring and Summer 2021 productions include: Königen der Nacht in Lamont Opera Theatre's production of Die Zauberflöte; Laetitia in LOT's workshop production of The Old Maid and the Thief; Loathly Lady (et al) in The Loathly Lady and covering Musetta with the Vienna Summer Music Festival (Florida debut; relocated to Florida for 2021 only). 


Ms. Perkins was featured in a special composition concert in summer of 2020 in which she helped compose her performance piece.  Passionate about bringing new works to life, Ms. Perkins premiers a piece by composer Nic Bizub in her Master's recital in April, 2021.  Ms. Perkins studies with Catherine Kasch at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. Current coaches include Bradley Moore, Sahar Nouri, Beth Nielsen, Greer Grimsley, Paul Groves, and Kathryn Lewek respectively.
